This is a student project for COM280 - Issues in Event Planning at Rider University, Summer I 2009. All material is original of D. Minunni, S. Ramirez, and S. Favocci and is used strictly for educational purposes. We do not claim to be affiliated with Travelocity or the Roaming Gnome.
About this project:
Our main objective is to create an event structured through event planning guidelines and to promote it through Web 2.0 tools.
Our event is to phase out the current Travelocity spokesperson (the Roaming Gnome) and bring in a new image for the company. Using blogs, online video, and social networking websites, we will accept auditions, narrow down to 5 contestants, and hold a televised finale show to pick the winner.
